Support for Schools & Settings
The EYES Nursery Schools all have close links with the schools and settings in their locality and we all benefit from the mutual support and sharing of expertise that working with other Early Years settings brings.
In addition to the training programme that we offer through WSCC (link) we are also able to offer more informal opportunities for visits, discussion and the general sharing of ideas between settings and ourselves.
These can be tailored to your setting or nursery class’s individual needs but might be to do with one of the following:
- Developing your learning environment (indoor and outdoor)
- Planning, observation and assessment
- Developing “In the moment” planning
- Sustained Shared Thinking (providing challenge without too many questions)
- Managing behaviour
- Working with parents to support children’s learning
- Specific curriculum area development and leadership support
- Literacy
- Informal “walkrounds”
- Visits to your setting
- Helicopter stories
- Makaton
