Horsham Nursery School
Horsham Nursery School was established in 1942, and was gifted to the people of Horsham by the Canadian Air force to support women undertaking war work.
In 1946 it became, and continues to be, a Nursery School maintained by West Sussex County Council.
Initially sited on the edge of Horsham Park we moved to our new purpose built site in 2008.
In 2008 we opened our Under 3’s provision, and now provide up to 100 places for children from 1 – 5 years, consisting of free entitlement places for both 15 and 30 hours, as well as extended sessions, 2 year FE places and full day care places for 51 weeks of the year.
Although many things have changed during the lifetime of the nursery we have always put the child and the child’s learning at the heart of everything we do. We are a fully inclusive Nursery and have a very diverse community. Currently we have over 50 different languages spoken across our nursery community and actively support children and parents with additional needs
The Nursery has highly skilled and experienced workforce which includes qualified teachers and Nursery Nurses who work together to provide the very best in Early education for the children of Horsham.
Children’s interests are the starting point for our work, and we work closely with families to respond to children’s individual needs, providing a holistic and meaningful approach to their learning.
