Boundstone Nursery School
Boundstone Nursery School has served the communities of Lancing and Sompting since the 1950s.
It offers over 150 spaces for 2-5 year olds during term time and throughout the year, supporting a diverse range of families.
We are fortunate to have a Special Support Centre (SSC) as an integral part of our Nursery School, this provision is for children who have complex language disorders or delays and is support for 3 days a week by Speech and Language Therapists. The staff team consists of Qualified Teachers, Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants who work collaboratively to support the children’s progress.
Families tell us that they value daily conversation with their child’s Key Carer, along with regular invitations to join in Nursery sessions with their children. We place great importance on our work with families and are always seeking to embed further opportunities to work together for the benefit of their children.
The team at Boundstone are constantly reflecting on the provision and their own practice. They are always looking for better ways to support individual children, families and each other. This creates a dynamic environment for our children and families that continually evolves in response to their interests and needs, as well as an exciting space for staff to try new ideas and deepen their understanding of how you children learn.
We lead the schools Early Years locality in Adur and have links with Chichester, Brighton and Sussex Universities, providing guest lecturing and hosting placements for Initial Teacher Training, Childcare Degrees and Masters level research students.
