Bognor Regis Nursery School became a certified Centre of Excellence for Helicopter Stories

Bognor Regis Nursery School became a certified Centre of Excellence for Helicopter Stories in March 2018, following their training with Isla Hill from Make Believe Arts.

Make Believe Arts has been pioneering this approach in the UK since 2002 based on the work of Vivian Gussin Paley. Alison Stead and Cathryn Twine will be delivering training for practitioners interested in using Helicopter Stories in their own schools and settings. Helicopter Stories lets children tell their own stories which an adult scribes and are then acted out, supporting the development of communication and language, personal social and emotional skills and creativity. This holistic and child centred approach is suitable in the EYFS and beyond.
